    Anecdotally, I'd say most 2nd generation Asian Americans tend to stay in ethnic Asian churches or circles. A church in the Bay Area (GCC) used to bill itself as a church for "2nd and 3rd generation Asian Americans." That struck me as very strange. Yet it describes them (and others) to a T.

    I still like the trajectory of naming the skypecast 'emergent'. BUT, I also realize that many people won't participate in something that's labelled emergent. Something that might be helpful is the idea of 'missional'. Some canadians (particularly Jamie Arpin Ricci) have made a case in using missional rather than emergent.
