The whole Asian thing of not wanting to rock the boat or interfere too much in other peoples' business (funny how the old aunties don't worry about that, though) is changing, I think. The younger generation - mine - is getting more "westernised", as the Malaysian govt likes to say. I see people being much more open now compared to before.
